Merry Christmas!

First off I hope that Santa found everyone and that everyone had a very merry Christmas! Em was way sick thursday and friday throwin up and down (poor thing it was so sad), but then was better Saturday and Sunday. Monday, Christmas Eve, we had a party with the Woods. We ate played games, the kids acted out the nativity and did some talents, it was a blast. Em was just not herself though, she didn't want to play, was way quiet and way clingy to me. I figured she wasn't feeling good but didn't know. We came home and around midnight she threw up a few times and around 3 a.m. down a few times. We were pretty nervous and decided it wasn't worth it to wake up early and go to enterprise like we planned. We just let her sleep in and when she woke up she was happy as could be. She loved all her toys and was excited to play with them. Didn't love the opening part, she just wanted the toy. :) After we opened it all up we headed to Enterprise and opened presents with my family. and then over to open at the Woods. We were all SO SO SPOILED! We are every year! After we came back to my house for Christmas dinner and games. I think Em is finally over being sick, fingers crossed anyways. All Randans family is here and they will be here all week so its fun to see them and hang out. We're enjoying being with family and the break from school!

this and that!

Well I'm a little late and I hardly got any pictures but we had a great thanksgiving. we drove up to Bountiful to my Wallace grandparents house. We had a great dinner then shopped till we dropped. It was a lot of fun but man were we tired by the time we got home. To say the least Em hates to sleep in pack-n-plays. So... she didn't :/ It was really good to see my grandparents. The only picture was of my Grandma with Emma. Emma loved going up and down their stairs and my grandma just sat there and played with her. She is so cute with the kids! Before we went up north Em got her hair cut! It instantly grew her up! I can't believe how big she is getting. She is so much fun, I just love that little stinkers personality! She is 19 months now. She loves nursery, and so do mom and dad, however we just got put in the nursery so we enjoyed a few weeks without crazy wild kids :) We won't be with Em though, our ward is so big we have 3 different nurseries. Em LOVES to dance. Randans taught her to dance in circles pointing her fingers around. Its so funny. She normally dances anytime she hears music, unless of course I want to show someone how cute she is then she just stands as still as a pole and stares! Randan and I will finish this semester soon and we are so glad its done. It was a bit crazy we had had 26 credits between the two of us but we survived. I'm afraid next semester will be a bit worse. :) Hope everyone is doing well and has a very happy holidays!

Swimming!

last weekend was UEA for my sister and my aunt/cousin. My Aunt Tracey and her son Aaron came down from Bountiful. They're moving to Denver, CO soon and we are all pretty bummed. Tracey has always been the funnest aunt! Meag and her family came down and all the kids went swimming at my moms! It was fun! I can not believe what a water baby Emma is! She LOVES it. didn't matter if someone was playing with her, or if she was alone, she was having a blast!! After we had some pizza and hung out and talked. Meag and I ran to Target, and it was so fun. I know sounds silly that Target was so fun. I love living close to Meag, we have so much fun! Not so sure our husbands love it! :) Emma loves Kinlee too, the next day they came over and had dinner at our house and Emma just thinks Kinlee is her own baby doll. We decided it was just payback from Macee thinking Emma was her baby and I'm sure I'll get payback from Kinlee! Phew, I feel like I'm just babbling. time to go :)

Marathon/fall break& a project!

My dad ran the Marathon this year again! It never gets old I love going to it and watching all the runners, especially with my dad running it! What an accomplishment! I say every year that one of these years I'm going to do it, I guess I gotta start running first :) He came in at 3:06, I think it was actually like 3:05:45. Emma loved clapping for all the runners! Good Job Grandpa! We are halfway done with the semester (yay!) and we had a little fall break on the 10th and 11th so we decided to go pine nut pickin! We went more for the experience than for the pine nuts and we had a lot of fun. We got quite a few considering we had a very busy helper with us. She loved it. She had a blast picking the pine nuts out of our bucket and throwing them on the ground, running free up and back on the trail, and sitting in the dirt! Yes this is how her hair looks most days, don't judge :) We have been going to the park lots lately. We are so lucky that we can just walk down the street and we have a great park right there! Emma loves it. That girl is fearless, she goes down all the slides all by her self and loves it! Oh yea how could I forget my latest project! I got the idea from Burlap and Denim http://burlapanddenim.com/2012/09/easy-tutorial-for-giant-chalk-art/ Pretty bold I know. Hers was for an industrial room and mine is for my entry way!! YIKES! I was pretty scared about it all the way through especially with Randan telling me it didn't look good. My mom helped me paint it with homemade chalkboard paint just a side note, if you want to paint a wall with homemade kind you have to use a brush a roller won't work! Then I got to work with the chalk. I'll trade the pumpkin out with the holidays! Randan and I built this cute shelf we saw on Shanty 2 Chic's website http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2011/11/hook-shelf-for-the-entry.html. When I got it all done Randan said "I told you it would look good" he thinks he is so funny. :) (it was kind of hard to get a good picture of it, but you get the idea)

I had to post some pictures of this cute little stinker. She is so funny, she is my daily entertainment. I laugh at her all day long. she LOVES shoes. LOVES outside, she could spend hours playing with this dang hose! She found her belly button and likes to look at everyones, likes to walk and hold moms hand, loves to jump on the air mattress with dad, LOVES to climb up and sit on the kitchen chairs like a big girl, thinks all animals are "dog dogs" (even chickens) likes to play the piano, LOVES to dance, I need to post a video of her dancing, I roll laughing every time she does it and she does it every time she hears music or I tell her to dance. she bounces up and down and then stops and sticks her bum out and sways. I feel like I could post a paragraph every day about this girl she is constantly doing new things! So fun! Randan and I are doing good. we're staying busy with school. we're about half way with the semester!

don't want to forget...

This post is kind of just for me, My mom reminded me the other day that I need to write down somewhere all the silly things Emma does! I think this is the only place I won't loose it so here goes. *She loves to carry things around. anything really. *She has this new obsession with shoes and loves to put them on and walk around, one morning while I was getting ready she was playing in our shoe basket, got Randans church shoes out and starts walking around in them so seriously it was hilarious! *LOVES the swings and anything outside, anytime the front door opens she runs as fast as her little legs will take her. *Is such a good eater, I don't there has been anything that she hasn't liked yet that I've given her, even stuff most kids don't like, avocado, tomatoes, pickles, beets, zucchini etc. Although normally she shoves everything that is on her tray in her mouth at once. *we got rid of the bottle at a year and the binky at I think 13 or 14 months! *downs water like its nobodies business, it throws us off considering water isn't really used for drinking in the Woods house :) *loves to push her stroller around with anything she can find in it, books, cups, and sometimes babies :) *Thinks it so fun to pull stuff out of cupboards. *I put our kitchen towel on the stove handle and any time she sees it she pulls it off, drives me crazy. *loves her little car Grandma & Grandpa Woods got her for her b-day. *She giggles whenever she or anyone else farts. its so funny. *loves to go for horse rides on dad and bounces right on his stomach. *loves to be chased sometimes she runs away and sometimes she just drops to the ground and ducks her head in her legs and laughs. :) *When I'm doing her hair she picks up the water bottle or hair-spray and "brushes her hair" with it like I'm doing. *LOVES to give kisses, mouth open or closed, ya never know! and makes a kissy sound before she gives it. *says mom, dada,dog-dog, nose, ear (and points to it),uh-huh & huh-uh and shakes her head, yea. *loves books and sits on the floor and flips pages. *could care less about TV. *Whenever Randan goes to the bathroom she runs to the closed door and yells "yea" and Randan says "yea" and it continues back and forth till he comes out. :) *likes to sit on the couch like a big girl as far away from you as possible. and in any chair by herself she can get in. She Can get off of the couch by herself. *anytime a fun song comes on she dances and thinks its funny when mom or dad dances. *is a clean freak, hates her hands dirty and if they are she holds them in front of her till they get cleaned. If her food tray is dirty she tries to clean it and anytime she sees anything on the floor she brings it to you even if its the tinniest piece of paper or crumb. *When she is tired and I hold her she lays her little head down and pats/rubs my back like I do to her. *loves to brush her teeth and thinks its funny when we brush ours. *is terrible at church and wants to run around and give everyone her sippy cup and crackers. *talks on her phone, holds it up to her ear and talks as I would then laughs. although she is scared to death when you try to get her to talk to someone on a real phone. *is a cuddle bug and gives the best loves in the whole world. I know I'm leaving a whole bunch off, she is so fun and full of life. she gets more personality every day! There truly is nothing better than being a mom. I feel so blessed to be her mother and nothing makes me happier than that little girl. love u Em!

lil bit of everything.

Well this post may be a bit all over the place. I just realized it been a bit since I posted last. We survived Randan's first semester of college and oh my heck he did awesome! he took 12 credits this summer and did so good. He really is enjoying school and is pretty excited about it, although he changes his mind about.... twice a day what he's going into, which I don't love :)oh well...he's all signed up and ready for another semester! I've been busy doing projects! I think i've said it but i LOVE it. I'll post a few pictures of a few things we've done. I painted all my bedroom furniture (no pictures), built that console table, the entertainment center(done way before christmas (if you read my last post)it still needs some decorations though, made some wreaths , curtains, subway art signs, gallery walls... the projects never end as randan says! I've also been cleaning condos (which I also don't love ha) and doing transcription stuff. Its going good, busy but good. I think we just decided that i'm going to finish my few classes so I can get into that dang nursing program.(who knows if I ever will get in but its worth a try) the nursing program is so competitive and my first few semesters of college didn't go so hot so I have a few classes I have to retake and I have to get my CNA again, but I think its now or never. It might take a while and plans could change like they have a million times in the past 6 months but thats the plan for today. Makes me really nervous but the thought of getting into the program makes me really excited! Its what i've always wanted to do, besides being a mom, there's not much better than that! anyways.... Miss Emma, that girl is so full of personality and is so much fun! Don't know what I'd do without her. She loves her rocking chair that her great grandma Wallace gave her, that girl could play in that thing forever, she loves being outside and LOVES the swings. She loves to swim and She also loves to clean condos with mom its so cute she'll grab my mop and go to town! As long as she can roam free shes happy (that being said church is still not so fun and 18 months will be a happy sunday). She is still a big time cuddle bug which will never get old. she says mom, dad, dog dog, nose and points to it, yea, uh uh (while shaking her head, she giggles when she farts, and is very determined. We're loving being in our house and close to family, we've had a great summer, we've spent quite a few days at the pool went camping once had a few BBQ's and visited with family lots!so anyways I guess thats enough for a while, sorry so long and for all the pics!

lately

oh my goodness so much fun stuff has been happening. My best friend got married to Randans first cousin and I was lucky enough to be able to attend it all, the endowments the sealing the lunchone the reception. It was such a beautiful wedding and I am so happy for the two of them! They both looked beautiful/handsome! I'm so grateful that I was able to be there. On the same day between the lunch and the reception my sister had her baby! A beautiful baby girl! There is nothing sweeter than a brand new baby. especially when you're close to the mother! She named her Kinlee Sue! I know she hasn't posted about it so I hope this is ok.... :/ They are both doing awesome, meag is such a great mom! and I'm so happy for them! not to mention she was born on my dads birthday! He felt pretty cool, and he should! That same weekend we moved back into our house!! YAY!!! finally! It feels so good. It is such a mess but I still feel happier. haha. home sweet home. Randan has survived his first week of school. He is actually loving it. It makes me happy to see him so excited about it. Im good too. Jess hooked me up with a few little jobs and they are going great. I'm still doing projects and driving Randan crazy with them. right now we are in the process of building an entertainment center!!! it might not be done till Christmas but we're doing it! I'm so excited to be in our house I have about 1000 projects on my mind and I want to do them all right now! ha. Little Emma is such a cute happy little girl. She makes me so happy. She is so funny. I still am just so amazed at watching her learn new things. I think she's a genius! She loves to be outside and anytime the door opens she starts running as fast as those little legs of hers will take her its so funny. She loves her baby dolls and riding on her car. she's started to want to climb everything. she loves to carry things around, shoes, keys, purses,etc. She thinks she's pretty big. she has a mouth full of teeth! poor thing. at her doc she was 31.42" tall in the 97% and 21.74 lbs. she gabbers non stop! I could go on and on, man do I love that little girl. Anyways so thats us for the moment! Hope you're all doing well! sorry no pictures!

1 year old!!

Emma is a big girl now! I wanted to wait till I got more pictures uploaded but the days keep slipping away from me! oh she is so much fun! We had her 1 year old birthday party and she was such a little cuttie! she kinda got 2 parties Meag and her kids came over the day before and we opened her present and went swimming and then on the 3rd we had her party with all the other cousins aunts uncles and grandparents and went swimming again after! She had a fever right before the party so I felt bad but after a little Motrin was back to her usual self (she's getting her 2 year old molars already!) She opened everyones presents and loved them all, everyone spoiled her. she got a baby doll 2 strollers,a swimsuit, a princess car she can ride on/push, lots of clothes,a bubble machine, a doggy that plays music and games, a purse and everything to go in it(phone, keys, credit card, mirror, bracelet)! I put her in her high chair we blew out her candles and she wouldn't touch her cake (come on mom can't get dirty) so I put her hands in the cake and she then just held them in front of her to be cleaned! so I gave her a few bite and she was done. we all had cupcakes and ice cream and then went swimming. it was so fun and Em loved it! Thanks so much everyone for coming and making her first Birthday so fun! Em is a busy girl! *She loves her new baby doll and loves to carry it around (most the time upside down) *She gives the best loves, pats, and goes "oooooh" just like mama, its so cute. *loves to give kisses, hears the word "kiss" and in she goes mouth wide open! *is a good eater and loves most foods. her favorites are bananas, yogurt, avocado, chicken, fruits and veggies *Loves her blankie grandma becky made for her when she gets tired she goes and lays her head on it! *She loves to swim, but is not a fan of baths still *LOVE LOVE LOVES to be outside *Is so curious *seems to know when she's doing something she should be *makes the funniest faces and then laughs at herself! *likes walks and bike rides *loves to carry things, most the time my shoes, but is now loving to carry her purse! *has 5 teeth on top and I'm not exactly sure on bottom but I think its about 7 she's got one 2 year old molar and is getting another one :( *Sleeps so awesome goes to bed around 7 and wakes up around 8:30! I could go on and on. I guess I'll sum it up. She is the most beautiful, sweet, spunky, smart, silly, fun girl around ;) although I am her mom! Love you so much Emmi, can't believe you're getting so big! I've never felt more blessed than being your mom and having you as my daughter!
